ABSTRACT
Interactive Installation
Susan Collins
Susan Collins will show and discuss video documentation of her work
Interactive Installation.
The installations use low-tech, computer controlled video, audio and
sensor devices in a variety of contexts from Museums to Railway
Stations. Issues arise through the work that will be discussed here,
which include
- the collision between the real and the virtual
- the role of a physical choreography within these sensor controlled
interfaces
- humour as a tool for communication
- the changing, increasingly collaborative relationship between artist and viewer, author and participant.
- just who, if anyone, is in control?
